Newborn girl found dead in Pimple Nilakh | Pune News – The Times of India

Pune: A newborn baby girl was found dead in a plastic bag thrown into the garbage in Pimple Nilakh on Wednesday morning. 

A resident of the area noticed the infant and alerted police. A team from the Sangvi police reached the spot and sent the body to a hospital.

An officer from the Sangvi police said, “We found a newborn  girl in the plastic bag thrown into the garbage. The infant was sent to the hospital, where she was declared dead by doctors.”

He said the police were checking CCTV footage to trace the person who dumped the infant into the garbage.
