A woman was arrested after a child was found abandoned in a pram late one night(South Wales Echo)
Police have arrested a 29-year-old woman after a child was found abandoned in a back garden.
Officers were alerted by a member of the public who spotted the child alone, outside in the rain. Police attended an address on Wavell Crescent, Pembroke Dock, at around 11.30pm on November 9. A woman, 29, was arrested on suspicion of child neglect but has since been released on bail.
Police say arrangements have been made regarding the care of the child, who a witness described as being either one or two years old, reports The Pembrokeshire Herald.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report that an infant had been found in a pram in a garden in Wavell Crescent, Pembroke Dock.
“The call was made to police at just before 11.30pm on Sunday, November 9.
“A woman, aged 29, was arrested on suspicion of child neglect and has been released on bail.
“Appropriate arrangements have been made for the care of the child.”
