Bhopal: A newborn was found abandoned in a Sulabh Complex toilet in the Myana area of Guna on Tuesday night. The infant, wrapped in a cloth, was rescued by police after locals spotted him and raised an alarm. According to police, villagers noticed the baby inside the toilet near the culvert of Sadar Bazar around 8.30 pm and immediately informed Myana police.
The infant was rushed to the Myana Health Centre, where doctors confirmed he was breathing and provided first aid. He was later shifted to the district hospital and admitted to the SNCU ward.
Doctors said his condition is currently out of danger. Police said CCTV cameras in the vicinity were checked but no clue has been found yet. It remains unclear who abandoned the child or how long he had been lying inside the toilet.
