The sound of the girl’s crying was suddenly heard from an old dry well located in ward number 13, after which people pulled her out.

Khairthal: A case of shame has come to light in Ward No. 13 of Tijara town of the district. A newborn baby girl was found in a dry well here, causing a sensation in the area. As soon as the information was received, the Tijara police station reached the spot and took the girl out safely and sent her to the hospital for treatment. The girl is currently reported to be healthy.

Paediatrician Dr Rajendra said that prima facie the baby appears to be around 24 hours old. At present, the girl is healthy, but she has been referred to Alwar for better treatment and monitoring. The team of doctors is constantly monitoring his condition. Station House Officer Jaiprakash said that the matter is being investigated thoroughly. CCTV footage from the vicinity is also being scanned so that those who dropped the girl there can be reached. Police say that the case will be revealed soon.

When the people present around peeked into the well, they saw a newborn girl wrapped in a cloth. The locals immediately informed the Tijara police station. As soon as the information was received, police officer Jaiprakash Maya reached the spot. With the help of police and villagers, the girl was safely pulled out of the well. She was immediately rushed to the Tijara sub-district health centre, where doctors started first aid to the child.
